We have some important and sensitive news to share about this special puppy. During a recent follow up vet check on 9/19/25, our veterinarian discovered that she has a congenital heart condition known as a Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). This is a serious condition that requires a corrective surgery ASAP, which has a very high success rate and is a permanent fix.
The procedure is a medical necessity and the estimated cost is substantial, typically ranging from $4,000 to $6,000. Unfortunately, due to the unexpected nature of this diagnosis, we are not in a position to cover the cost of this life-saving surgery ourselves.
Our greatest hope is to find a kind and compassionate family who would be willing and able to take on this responsibility. We are committed to finding the perfect home for Cassie and want to make sure she gets the care she needs to live a long and healthy life.
